Hybrid work & culture
How many office days per week make sense?
There is no universally right number. Two to three office days are a common starting point; what matters are tasks, team needs and the coordination of shared days.
Coordination matters more than the number: if teams come in independently, nobody meets anyone – the office adds no value and acceptance drops. Shared team days with a purpose work well: workshops, reviews, onboarding, retrospectives. Focus work deliberately stays at home.
Define exceptions for roles that require presence (lab, reception, production) and for fully remote hires.
Key points
- 2–3 office days as a starting point, not a law
- Shared team days matter more than the count
- Define exceptions for presence-bound roles
